SQL 2005 Users

Eclipse version 3.0 is designed to work with Microsoft SQL Server 2005, and will still operate under the SQL Server 2000 platform as well.

Plans for upgrading Eclipse to SQL Server 2008, which was released by Microsoft in April, are expected for the last quarter of 2008.

Windows Vista

While the use of Windows Vista on client machines is acceptable, Dimension does not currently recommended to update database or application servers with any version of Windows Vista at this time.  Microsoft will not support SQL Server 2000 on Vista, and instead upgrading to SQL Server 2005 would be required.

Eclipse Enterprise will be beta tested on the Vista environment under SQL Server 2005/2008 versions during the last quarter of 2008.
